Williams officially Player of the Year, without question

dixon is a great college player. But 82 games (at the pro level) of intestinal fortitude is gonna be hard to pull off. I think he probably should have gotten the award. I guess the rate the team on positions. No way he's not on that list.

That's the debate we were having here at work this morning WYDD. Would you draft Dixon? And where? (Side note: Most scouts think Wilcox is the super-long-term prize of the MD program. If that kid comes out now - he'll blow it IMHO. He needs to learn the game.) I tend to think that some lucky team is going to have Juan fall into their lap somewhere outside of the Lottery. Talk radio here last week was REALLY debating his prospects. There are those that think he won't even be picked in the FIRST ROUND. I think that may be a stretch.

You are right about the 82 game grind though. His build will scare some people off. He'd have to put on 20 pounds or so to keep someone like Oakley from ripping him in half...

I hope it works out for him though.

i don't know. Dixon is 6-3 but he's not a pg. That right there poses a problem. He's not quick enough to be a pg in the league, but he's definitely fast. He can shoot, but can he shoot over someone that's 6-5,6-6 that's guarding him?? He's a tweener himself and for the most part, those guys don't ever make it. I'd still take williams. Not because i'm a duke fan, but he has a tremendous upside. Strong upper body. Good handles, can get to the hole. Can take it up strong. Has unlimited range and create his own shot off the dribble. Has good court vision. I think his only weaknesses are possible lack of leadership, free throws, and disappearing down the stretch. He's not an answer for any team, but probably the best point to come out since iverson (no pun intended).
