I like the idea of grabbing a younger guy like Atlanta and Tampa did. The Giant guy would interest me

FWIW - Rogers was hired from a temp agency. I would not consider him to be a candidate because he doesn't have a football background, but neither did Hurney for awhile.

He's smart and Ivey League and JR apparently loves him.

Brandon Beane is currently "in control" and no one even knows who the fuck he is. He went to UNCW for Christ's sake, and they didn't even have a football program.

At least Rogers, I kinda know where he's had some hands in things.

It's attractive in that there are only 32 NFL general manager positions available, but this one is clearly the worst of the 32 precisely because the cap is in such a mess. The new GM won't be able to do much in the first two years unless he's allowed to generate a ton of dead cap by cutting Hurney's terrible contracts.


Heard Ross mentioned on ESPN and it made sense. Some host on 610 said that Richardson stated he would pay whatever it took to get the best general manager available.
