Addressing the PFT rumor that Mike Trgovac could join Jack Del Rio with the Jags now that they have an opening, Gantt believes the possibility that Trgovac returns is srong, "stronger than you might think".

Oddly enough, Adam Schefter has a blurb listing the Panthers as a team that might need a new offensive coordinator.

Pretty sure Schefter's got a screw loose there, but if this team did something as completely ass-backwards as letting Davidson walk and retaining Trgovac, I'd officially jump on the "Fire Fox" bandwagon with both feet.

Here's one of the quotes from your link.

“What makes John a great head coach is he is very clear on what he wants and the direction he wants to go. Some guys have gray areas and some guys away from what they want to do and might not be a fan favorite type of deal. He doesn't sway at all from that. He knows what he wants and what he believes in, and that's the way we try to operate.

Basically, it sounds like he's doing what Fox wants (otherwise Fox would replace him). If soemone has to be blamed for failures on the D side of the ball, why does Fox get a pass?

Another quote from this link

“I see him one day a week. I saw him the other night. There's a flu bug going around. He jumped in bed with us; then about three in the morning he started puking. There was not much sleep after that.”

Mike Trgovac quote

I'm not against change, I think that we've underperformed on defense the last two years compared to where we could be. If we can do better, then why not?

I do think that Mike Trgovac's a good coach, and I wouldn't fire a guy based on 18th overall if that was the choice I had to make. I don't think that you can judge him entirely on AZ, nor write any good or bad off that he does on "he does what Fox tells him". I don't think that's an evaluation tool. The scheme won't change significantly, no. It shouldn't.

i would love a new OC & DC

and if nothing changes, a new HC

Meh, I don't want to have to start completely over and an overhaul of the staff would indicate to me that that would be the thought. Jake had perhaps the worst game ever as a QB and our Defense underperformed. Other than loosing a fantastic talent in Peppers, we do we want to scrap everything?

Do we need to adjust...of course, but to do away with our OC/DC would be a major disruption to what our team is about.

exactly my point...

this season was smoke & mirrors to get to 12-4... we could have just as easily been 6-10

the whole team underachieved IMO
