our field position was better this year, and our coverage units were good.

The blocked punts were mostly player mistakes but they could be viewed as a part of larger failures.

Help me understand, me boy. Does this mean we do or don't need another ST coach?

My position is we could use a different one.

Even though you state our field position was better this year, and our coverage units were good? Then why do we need the change?

For the record...I thought our ST sucked the first part of the year, and I was calling for the change that you seem to be calling for now. But, I thought we improved a lot the second half of the year, and my opinion somewhat changed.

I don't want to argue semantics, Magnum. I respect your opinion...always have. But help me understand what you are saying about our special teams, and if Danny Crossman really deserves the heave-ho. Did he not somewhat redeem himself?

Did units improve? Did the problems get fixed? Sure, to a point. The blocked punts could be looked at as personnel issues or coaching issues. Coaching fixed them, I guess.

I'm fine with him staying but if it were my choice, I'd as well start over.

Well....okay. I don't agree with you...but I can see where you're coming from, and acknowledge that you may be correct and I may be wrong.

In spite of this thread about ST's, I have the same conundrum with our DC. Personally, I think Trgovac needs to go...but I'm probably in the minority when it comes to this decision. The Arizona playoff game made me believe that we should have an upgrade. There was no excuse for us not being better prepared for Arizona's receivers. Fitzgerald is great, but hell.....he ain't the second coming.

I'm not dead set for or against either. That's the thing, I'm not trying to decisively say "_______ needs to go." I could see either returning or leaving, neither have been incredible over the last two years.

    Defense?

How can anyone justify our defense this year? The only way we went 12-4 in reg season was our offense getting big leads then the D practically giving the games away,no pressure on QB and our corners suck.

IMO, it had just as much to do, if not more so, with our offense sitting on the ball, or "Fox ball" as it's become
