according to the Observer, Sunseri is the new Alabama "linebackers coach coach", so maybe he's coaching the linebackers coaches instead of the linebackers.

    yeah, whatever... it's fucking twisted

better coaching, better preparation, better play calling... could have been 12-4 and dominated when we were supposed to...

the team's over-achieving talent hid a lot of under-achieving coaching

i'm done with this fucking staff

I think we over achieved, with the defense being what it was. Mainly because we were mostly injury free. And as bad as the staff is, we were an average QB performance for (oops: from) competing to play in the NFCCG and SB.

As far as Trogo and the defense, of course he is linked with Fox and it's hard to judge him. I know there are some things we do that I hate to see but who is at fault I do not know.

I do believe some of these position coaches fell down on the job. Been feeling like the DL has been under achieving for several years so am not unhappy to see Sunseri out (same as I felt about Maser). And I won't cry if Lewis is gone, but I might if he is Trogo's replacement.

The weirdest thing is that no one is being offered more than a one year deal. I wonder who is behind that one.

Let the Cowher Conspiracy start here. The implication would be that JR would have felt the guys earned a 1 year reprieve from being canned and replaced by Cowher and his staff.

One year ago this staff was "on the Hot seat" as many felt and perhaps that was the case and now it is a wait and see thing. We will see how this plays out since Cowher apparently isnt going to coach in 09.

I like Fox and Co. personally but I can understand some of the "Time for a Change" talk....or was that the presidential thing?

I hope you like grits and sweet tea, 'cause your ass is going NO WHERE.

With the tag, we hold all of the cards and an offer too good to turn down will have to come along to get you a change of scenery.

    DEAL WITH IT!

    :)

i might have to retract a bit from the OC/DC change... new QB's coach & DL coach could make a little difference... I know shit rolls down hill and maybe those guys had it known to them it was okay to seek other opportunities... I have to speculate a little credit to Fox & his coordinators

I got to say, of all the position coaches, those two would have to be at the top of the list for upgrades. Now if the pattern holds true... what's another position coaching position that needs an upgrade? I think we're good at OL & RB's... LB's gets a pass I think, WR's too...

    ST's?
    Secondary?

I'd welcome a ST coach change, otherwise I'm OK.

Haven't checked the stats, but special teams seemed to play a lot better the second part of the season. Lloyd was worth the roster spot.
