What to do about the defense

It sucked for the second half of the season. Asking our offense to score over 30 points per game to have a chance is not going to work. Do we blow it up and start over, get a new DC, or just leave it all the same and hope that it is better next year?

Dude, the defense didn't repeatedly turn the ball over. This game tilted towards Arizona because of Jake's fumble and first interception. He sucked ass.

The Cardinals had the ball for almost 40 minutes.

That's because everytime the defense stopped them the offense gave them the ball back.

the offense didnt give up 31 to GB or 48 to Atl either. i'm certainly not arguing the offense is good, i'm just arguing that the defense sucks too.

fox's philosophy has been run the ball and play defense, how many years has he accomplished that? 1?

I am not saying to blow up the defense based on the one loss to Arizona. It has sucked since the Detroit game.

As far as Jake, he played like crap. Why they did not run the ball more baffles me but still Jake sucked. If you want to look for a better QB then fine but cutting him and going with McCown or something is not a plan.

Game plan vs. the Panthers: Stop the run and make Jake beat you with his passing. He may come up big and he may lay a turd. He's just not a QB that can beat you consistently.
The defense failed to deal with Fitzgerald, but it's tough to play defense on a 60 yard field with Kurt Warner throwing the football.
