Vick's people

Terrible. There are way too many scoundrels in the Financial Advising world. Seriously, avoid anyone who wants to "manage your money for you" and especially if someone has some system to earn you 18 to 35% return. Those promising returns like that are the ones who will take every penny you have. Especially if they get you set up that they are managing your money and you don't have any oversight of them. It is simply amazing to me how many smart people (not Vick but just in general) fall for a guy in a nice business suit with a cheesy smile who can use a couple of big words.

As a Christian, I can say that it is especially bad in some churches. You get these people coming in saying God is blessing their venture and they can pray really good and people flock to them. I am always reminded of Proverbs 28: 20: "A faithful man will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished." There is a show on CNBC called American Greed that has shown some of these Church scams and in the end, the scammers get arrested and get jail time and a bunch of people are out of money. Everyone gets punished as the verse says because of their greed.

Bad things happen to bad people. karma.
