    Pat Yasinskas, of the Charlotte Observer, reports the Carolina Panthers have released LB Brandon Short.

    I was actually worried he'd sneak thru without getting cut.

    I hope this means Spoon gets done, we have 2 OLB holes to fill now, 1 assuming Davis takes over one.

    He filled in nicely against ATL, his old team. I thought he was a bit more dodgy against opponents he didnt know so well.

    Isnt he more of a MLB anyway? Dont like him covering the TE.

    Short technically "unreleased" the NFL has informed all teams that anyone cut "today" is not considered cut by the league. as per Mortenson

    This is getting crazy. I bet the Broncos will be pissed if they lose thier guys unnecessarily.
