I have my laptop at work and it is picking up a network connection (wireless) Since there are no physical wires connected can I assumed they can't tell that I am looking at porn or don't try it. I tried to go to Yahoo games (another no no at work) but was stopped when trying to get into the Gin rummy rooms. It gave me a your behind a firewall or..... message. I am assuming they block interactive sites (chatrooms). What do you think

yahoo games needs to run a java installer or applet to start.

This is probably what is being blocked.

All connections, wired or wireless, go through the same core router (in general) to access the internet. And you all go through the "checkpoint" before getting to that core router.

The ONLY thing wireless eliminates in a corporate environment is the wire itself.

so they know that porn is being looked at but not who/or what PC is looking. Best just not to look
They can still find out if they really need to. You can look and see what computer is on the wireless AP.
