I remember us debating the Moore/Clausen deal earlier last week. I have no clue how Clausen will turn out, but I just remember seeing a quote from Moore that stuck with me all week:

"I think a big thing for us and something I'm going to try to stress is game management. As much as you can from a quarterback perspective, we need to get as many yards as we can on first and second down and stay in third-and-short. We've been in third-and-long way too much this year."

I know there's a lot of fans around here who just don't give a shit anymore, but I still care. Today's win felt really good, not just because we performed offensively, but because we went back to the sensible quarterback who, in 40+ attempts, did what he said he would do in the quote above.

The pick he threw was horrific, but as Tim Ryan pointed out, Stewart did not follow the route, and King was turnstyled on a manageable blitz pickup.

Good for Moore. He deserved a chance to get back in there, and there's not much I can bitch about today.

congrats on picking the guy who ended up looking like he's ready.

Of course had he not shit the bed it wouldn't have mattered, he'd have started all this time.

I run this shit, as Pursssssssy said.

Happy to win, and happier we did it vs an attacking defense with a solid secondary, with no running game.

you seem totally averse to even acknowledging that he deserved to be benched in the first place. Guy looked scared in the pocket. Scared. He didn't today and it damn well shouldn't come back, but the guy had reasons to have his doubters.

Yeah todays win feels GREAT!!! I'm just glad to know we can eek out a win even if our running game gets shut down like it did today...

I was one of the first (in the stadium, week 2) that was calling for a change.

I'm not throwing out what he did. I'm just moving forward as a fan and hoping that he and the entire passing game continues to click.

Because the defense, no matter what anyone wants to think, is just fine.

Moore's a FA after this year...? what do you do?

You sign him to a 9-year deal tonight, Marty.

Eh, play it out. All the local hacks keep saying Hurney's staying, end of story. In any event, if this is how Moore continues to play over the course of the next 10 games, yes, keep him. QB's who can throw for 60%, TD's, 300yds vs. a top-10 defense on a bad knee don't grow on trees. Keep repeating it, and he should stay. If we see more shitting-of-the-pants, then let him go with Fox.

I just see so much more continuity with Moore in there, and the same could be said for his previous 8 starts prior to 2010. Don't know what happened in September, don't care. It's over, so just keep it rolling.
