    Kinda.

Commercials sucked. I didn't even pay attention to the pregame.

Didn't personally think Big Ben got it in on the TD. But on those endzone angles you can't overturn the call on the field because you don't have a good angle with what they have. You'd think they'd put a camera right on the goaline.

Speaking of Big Ben, that's the worst performance in a win that I remember. Hassellbeck looked a little off with some of those sliders he was throwing without setting his feet, but Ben was off mark.

Seattle had their chances. Dropped passes and key penaties killed them when they were dominating. When it was 14-10, I didn't see the hold on the replay. Bad call. That and the pick that followed obviously changed the game and momentum. Up to that point, it felt like Seattle should be winning. After that they had to be one dimentional and throw a bunch, and Pittsburg started to get to MH.
I kinda though Seattle didn't manage the last 7 minutes well.

I thought the ball touched the chalk...bearly

I thought it was a great game...not one of the greatest in SB history, but a great game. I don't know what the announcers were talking about at the half, but I said at the time that if Pittsburgh came out with getting the ball to start the 3rd Q and go down and get 7, this game was over.

It almost was until Seattle picked it off and pulled to with 4 again. Then they had down in the red zone about to go up by 3 and they got picked off. So it was a little back & forth.

In a way, Seattle could have made it a better game though. That TD they lost was real ticky tack and the other TD pass out of bounds could almost have been ruled the other way with his foot hitting red endzone marker...plus the 2 missed FG's...

    Emotional game, physical....

I think they must have ruled he got in while in the air. Because it looked pretty clear to me that when he was on the ground, he was short. It looked like he came straight down, but it was close enough that I could not absolutely say for sure he's not in while airborne.

Jackson certainly pushed off. It isn't called that often, that's true, and the usually let that go, but he did push off and that helped him get open.

Looks like Porter got into Stevens head. Or something did. He killed the Seahawks more than anything.

Let's look on the brightside...it beat the hell out of the Ravens-Giants grudgematch a couple of years ago

My only problem with the Jackson push-off is that it wasn't called until after he caught it. He made the move, the ref looked and waited for the outcome and threw the flag. Theoretically, he should be able to throw the flag while judging the outcome of the play, and should.

It's very hard to say if Roethlisberger got in. It was 3rd down, so it wasn't a given they get points there otherwise; the timing of the play makes me feel a bit like the side judge was judging it on seeing the ball in the EZ after he put it there; that doesn't have a ton to do with whether he got in, but if he did, it wasn't where he landed, and Ben even knew that. Jaws said he got in, most definitely; I can't say. I feel like the reviewing judges - not enough to say the other way around.

Yes, very boring. People might not like that Ward won the MVP, but he's legitimately their best player, IMO. Parker didn't do much other than the brilliant TD, Bettis didn't score, and Roethlisberger was awful. Randle-El never has done that much in that offense, and it's why him and 90% of starting players returning punts or kicks can return punts or kicks. Because they're not the focal point of their offense.

Seattle did what they needed to do, most of the time. But you have to convert to points. They left points on the board - 2 FG and a red-zone INT is at least 9 points, if not 13 or more. They drove a number of times on the Steelers. But they didn't capitalize on Pittsburgh's mistakes. Seattle had the TO ratio in their favor, and it's damned hard to lose a SB with fewer turnovers than your opponent.

Ben scored--have to break the plane, and the plane is the FRONT edge of the goal line, extending vertically. He broke the plane with the ball, no doubt IMO.

Sea-Chickens were frauds and got exposed. Congrats the Pitt.

If anything, there's no doubt that he didn't make it. As I keep saying, you can see that clearly from where his forearm is positioned. But as I also keep saying, it never would have come to that if the Seahawks hadn't fucked up a 3rd and 28. That's almost as bad as 4th and 22.
