Nice finish, but I worry about feel good bullshit in preseason games.

King is fun. We can all see it and appreciate it. All's I'm gonna say is that the Michael Vick Madden 2004 shit at the end of the game wouldn't work against an actual NFL defense, in a two minute drill, in 10 million attempts. He played well, and that's positive for a UDFA, but you should delete that final drive from your evaluation if you're a serious person.

He looked comfortable as a pocket QB, and that's what I want to focus on.

Pickett was fine, I guess. Guys who've been starters should be expected to move an offense in the preseason. Bobbling a snap was annoying. He made a few down field connections that probably get broken up by starting corners. The rest was just okay. Hand the ball off, do some bootleg throws. It would be a limited play menu if either backup needs to play this year.

I won't overanalyze Idzik's performance, but he's calling a lot of the aforementioned bootleg playactions that the league is running now. Playaction in the NFL is becoming what the zone read was in 2013. It's no longer a down field shot, but an easy way to get seven yards in the flat. I suppose that's a good sign. Otherwise, it's August 6 and no playcalling sheet has ever mattered on August 6.

Cornerback depth is the major concern that we all thought it would be. I've never seen more scrubs running wide open in a preseason opener. Lee made one nice PBU at the beginning of the game, and then promptly spent the rest of the night taking it up the ass for fifty cents. Evans has never been a good NFL CB. Thornton looks semi-promising, but only in the slot. He's as lost as the others when he moves outside to play zone. Fundercuck is miserable. Rochell is miserable. None of these guys are even standouts on special teams, which makes the situation all the more dire. Morgan needs to make a move before the season, because you have to bake in Horn missing time every year.

I still don't know if Ransom is actually going to be a good safety, or if he's just this era's Jarrod Cooper. Great hustle on the downed punt, though. I did see Wheatley get in on a punch out, which is encouraging since he was awesome at forcing turnovers in college.

Jackson and Harrison-Hunte both look like guys who can play in real games and not get embarrassed. That's a big plus, since one or both will probably be eating up snaps at the beginning of the year.

The guardian cap fucking retarded. They will always be retarded. Players choosing to wear them should be bullied and derided until they stop wearing them.

Okay. Ja'seem Reed is a big, fast wide receiver without any of Legette's brain farts. I can start to get around to him making the roster. Being on first team special teams units is a mark in his favor. It will probably be him vs Tremayne at this point. Horn might need to be traded to a team that uses small, shifty WRs, because I do think the big, fast guy works best for this scheme.

Special teams considerations might prohibit this, but I kinda want to keep A.J. Dillon. He brings a short yardage fear factor that none of the other RBs have to offer. I don't like being one more predictable Brooks injury away from Etienne having to play offense.

Preseason TV Commentary is abysmal. I turned off the volume after two drives. Call the god damn game. Is that really hard? If Tirico and Collinsworth aren't into it, have some up and coming personalities call the game. Find some talented YouTubers who are trying to break into the industry or something of that nature. There's a thousand better options than having two disinterested old farts giving half-assed interviews for three hours.

With all of that being said, the Cardinals are still our bitch, and Bruce Arias is still our cuckold. Good day, everyone.
