I think they are unnecessarily throwing him into the action too soon. Anderson could get this team to 5-6 wins and you could bring Newton in for some 10-12 plays a game without rushing it. This way he is going to have to take some lumps. It's not like they are playing for a spot in the playoffs this year.

No way in hell I want Anderson seeing the field this year. I'd rather start Edwards at QB

Sometimes, there's just nobody else any better.

Or, the idea being to have Newton as your future franchise QB--whether I agree with it or not--promotes the idea of letting him have the job from the start.

Anderson played well under Chudzinski at Cleveland. I don't know why anyone would think he would suck under him here.

To think that Cam will play better than Anderson potentially would in this system is stupid.

Making Cam the starter now is like mailing this season in so that he can prepare for future seasons. He could learn very well watching a veteran.
