    Shanahan though Wilkes under the bus to take some of the blame off of him. Wikes defense gave up 22 points to the chiefs in the Super Bowl while losing 3 Def. Starters but gets fired

    Looking at their results they were hardly giving up big points all over the place.

    Their run D was god awful but teams were generally throwing to keep up with the offense so it was masked.

    27th ranked 3rd down defense.

    Shanny was meddling with the D after the minnesota game, also that's when he left the booth (apparently at Shanny demand)

    I read (can't remember where so considerd this hearsay) DL complained that they rarely used any stunts/disguises up front.

    As the head coach of the team that Tepper used to own says "the standard is the standard" why keep Wilks if you're already seeing a downturn and its clear you don't trust him?
