Yesterday afternoon the debate over whether to build a new ballpark for the Nashville Sounds on the former Thermal site came full circle.
A Metro task force voted overwhelmingly to recommend a minor league ballpark and adjacent residential and retail developments as the best use for the 11.5-acre riverfront site.

After considering four other ideas over two months, a 19-member special task force appointed by the Metro Council determined that the Sounds proposal was the best of the proposals up for review.
