WWE Chariman Gets Grilled on TODAY SHOW

Did anybody else catch Vince McMahon (WWE Chairman) getting questioned on the TODAY SHOW (via Meredith Viera) about Chris Benoit's death (and wrestlers dying early in general). Vince correctly pointed out that only 5 WWF/WWE Wrestlers have died under contract (Owen Hart, Benoit, Brian Pillman, . . . Damn, I cant remember the other 2 . . ).

Hmmmm, I guess Vince survived that limo explosion after all !!!! It sucks though that a decent story line had to be axed though . . .

You thought that was a decent story line? I thought it was pretty stupid. Eddie Guerrero was one other that died while under contract.

Hawk was under contract? I know they made an appearance on RAW a few months before he died but did not know they had made a longer than one night commitment.

IT was a story line that would have taken forever to play out, but I"m damn curious to know what the ending would have been.

Remember when Stone Cold had neck surgery, and miss about a year? They had the whole "who ran him over with a car" shit. After months of nobody knowing, Rikishi did it because he felt the Rock was being held back becuase of his Pacific Island heritage.

The Undertaker's wife being stalked was another great ending. Nobody thought it would be Diamond Dallas Page.

As a storyline, the McMahon death was stupid. Maybe they were leading up to Bret Hart getting revenge for his brother. Who knows.

Most of the internet wrestling sites reported shortly after the storyline was scrapped that the next phase of the story included the arrest of Linda McMahon. Sounds to me like WWE did the right thing in scrapping the story if the plan was for a member of Vince's family was the #1 suspect.

Also, in another interesting development WWE was supposed to use the members of the popular MTV show "Jackass" in a storyline at the upcoming SummerSlam PPV but guys like Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O got backed out after the Benoit tragedy, so WWE has scrapped that idea as well.

They should have said Benoit killed McMahon. I'm glad they are done milking Guerreros death, hope they dont start that shit up again when Mysterio comes back

Mr Kennedy is my current favorite, cracks me up. Didn't Steve-o wrestle Umaga a while back? How would Benoits death keep that worthless fag Steve-o from wanting to participate unless it was directly related to the McMahon death?
