At QB: Maybe sign Charlie Batch, he is a free agent after this season and played well in Pittsburgh.

At WR: probably draft a kid or sign a cheap free agent, not retain Moose.

At TE: bring in a real blocker and jettison King.

AT RB: nothing with the tailbacks, maybe get a better lead blocker at FB.

    At OL: probably stand pat

DL: switch to a 3-4? Who would be the DC? Lebeau is probably not available. Kemo and Lewis probably work at DE in a 3-4 gotta find a nose tackle though.

LB: Peppers stays if he can play OLB? Maybe, Everett Brown seems like a natural to switch to OLB. Beason can play inside. I am not sure about Davis, maybe he walks and Connor plays?

DB: Corners are pretty solid. Safeties are OK probably not much change.

ST: Kasay probably goes so we can carry one kicker on the roster. Probably lots of former Steelers signed to play special teams.

WWCD Besides take over a decade to win a super bowl?

Batch may bring familiarity but he's not going to have much left, but good to know that you take the footballsfuture FA list as gospel, why not take Boller? Cowher is sure to see his potential having played him so often.

King's actually a decent blocker, don't get the hate.

Lewis would be a 3-4 end, but probably a very crappy one. Kemo should be gone after this year, and we should all be better for it or we could grab Nick Eason and save 9 million dollars. EDIT: It would also suck to lose Charles Johnson to scheme, that guy shouldn't be a backup.

Based on size Brown seems like a natural OLB but I'm not sure he would do well in space, and I think the only way we retain Peppers is to keep him at ROLB which puts Brown as a backup.

Connor and Beason would be one of the smallest ILB corps in the league.

as for ST, have you watched the steelers special teams this year? They have one of the worst units in the league I wouldn't sign those guys, hopefully even Cowher could see that.

The sad thing is really that Fox has done a good job with almost everything. A top ten or even top fifteen QB would have this team in the playoffs every year.

Fox has been ok. He's made about as many blunders and good decisions, and I don't think he's gotten the most out of this team. Three playoff seasons, four (going on five) non playoff seasons. Sadly, we failed to take advantage of some absolutely pathetic years in the NFC. Twice we missed the playoffs when 8-8 would have been good enough. Twice we failed to win the NFC South when 10-6 would have been good enough. As a fan, that's gut-wrenching.
