Panthers | Expressed an Interest in Gragg

Timm Collins, of the Appeal Tribune, reports the Carolina Panthers have expressed an interest in free agent OT Scott Gragg (49ers). Gragg wants to play for a team that will be in the thick of the playoff race.

Why? Sure he might be an upgrade to Wharton but the difference in salary plus what we would have to give up isn't worth it to me IMO

He was the RT for the 49ers. I see him as dept for both tackles and guard. He's 32 years old but has started about every game in his 11 seasons. He must be good to have lasted as a starter that long.

He would probably start at right guard and provide depth all across the line. I am pretty happy with our OL now though. I think Evan Mathis will make a strong push for that right guard spot. The real question is if Wharton can handle LT. If he can't then we have the ability to reshuffle Gross and Whale to make things work.
