Buccaneers.com reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been assigned S Claudius Osei, a German, from the NFL Europe League. He was assigned as part of the International Development Practice Squad program. The program will place one NFL Europe "national" player on the practice squad rosters of each of the teams in the NFC South and AFC West divisions.

Aden Durde, LB, Hamburg Sea Devils (UK): Played in opening four games of season before suffering a broken ankle. Recorded six tackles, one pass defended and one special-teams tackle.

The eight players will be on their team's practice squad roster for the duration of the season. They cannot be cut and are not eligible to be activated.

If they were legit prospects, they wouldn't be coming in on this program. A foreighn player can try to make the team the old fashion way.

If they're allowed over the roster limit, and can't be cut, and probably are paid by the NFL and don't count against the cap, it makes sense to me that they can't play.

yep. Consider it a low level internship - maybe there's a small chance the player might get a look in the future, but there's no real chance they'd contribute anyway.
