Carolina Panthers - Ryan Clady, Boise State (OT)

As much as I would want Phillips, I am thinking we need a lineman more. OT/DE

I'm pretty sure I got a venereal disease just from reading this quote.

they aren't worth shaking a stick at. Still though, there is room for improvement

It's also the more likely pick, given this teams 'you can find a safety anywhere' mentality, I've been saying we need to take Phillips since before the season started and it would be neat but watching the lines this year has been painful and we need to upgrade. As far as DE is concerned I think Campbell is more our type all the other guys in that area of the draft are smaller and our backups are small enough already, if Pep returns to form having those two could be pretty awesome. I don't know much about the OTs- seems Baker has been falling, any chance we get him in the 2nd?

Jesus H. Christ. Please don't post a draft link unless you've cleared it with an "expert" on this board first. Some of those (Martin Rucker at #13?) are so dumb that it actually hurts discussion to post them because people who don't know better might be confused by them.

No. He'll rise again as we get closer to April, but he hasn't fallen nearly that much anyway.

but, wait! there's more! (from that site)...

41. Carolina Panthers - Ainge, Erik, QB Tennessee: Jake Delhomme has become a liability at the quarterback position because he is loosing the ability to give the playmakers in the offense such as wr Steve Smith the ball as often as need be. Ainge is a smart qb with a good arm and became a leader at Tennessee this past year. He lacks mobility but has decent pocket awareness to account for it.

BUMP!

Nice catch, LarryD. I didn't actually click on the link. In any case, this is a reminder for people not to post links to draft sites that have not been vetted by someone who knows what they're talking about.

Btw, not that I know any better than others here but I mailed Draft Tek a couple weeks back about their Panther team needs; Qb, TE, OLB (multiple no less) and they actually adjusted them.

The guy said he hadn't changed them since October and last year relied on someone who had a Panthers blog (I don't know who). Maybe some people here might take a look, he's open to input.

That is funny that you posted that. Watching the Mizzou bowl game today, I told my youngest (jokingly) that we need to draft Mike Rucker's little bro and give him Ruck's # when he retires.

yes, I know that 93 is not a TE's #.
