DeAngelo Williams! Wow! Who would have thought he would make it to our pick? Great value. I hope he turns out to be a great one for us!

Very nice.

Just the back I wanted. Built low to the ground. Hard runner. Good dude. Going to be a nice fit here. Way to go Marty.

"After heaing so many great things about Williams' ability, the on-field play was a little lacking. He was a highly productive running back at Memphis, and no doubt has the quick feet, athleticism and the make-you-miss ability that is hard to find. This allows him make something out of nothing. Has very good vision and instincts, which help him consistently find the correct hole and has the quickness to get through it, but he lacks the explosiveness and top-end speed to take runs the distance. While he has the strength and balance to run through arm tackles and to keep his feet against hard hits, Williams has not shown the ability to break tackles. The biggest concern is that he is much more of a finesse, make-you-miss runner than a strong and aggressive back, and does not attack the line of scrimmage when there is no clear hole. Overall, Williams should be drafted high. He will end up being a very good backup running back, a good third-down back, and will catch a lot of passes out of the backfield."

I thought we already had a finesse, make-you-miss runner in Deshaun Foster. ????

He's not as strong as White, but he's not weak. This guy runs like Emmett Smith. It looks like it took the Panthers about 60 seconds to send the order to send that card in. I love it.

well, i'm thinking the mind trust over at BOA knows what they're doing. Interesting Lendale is still on the board. What a dumbass.

Agreed. The comparisons are to Barry Sanders, but he reminds me more of Emmitt Smith than Sanders.

The fact they made the pick so quickly pretty much tells you this is the guy they really wanted.

That NFL.com profile is a piece of shit, don't pay attention to it. This one is better. I'll go into more depth later, but just know that I've watched a lot of DeAngelo's games and he was the guy I wanted for us more than any other.
