We hear the Cardinals could have their sights set on Panthers WR Muhsin Muhammad, who is expected by many to be a salary-cap casualty after June 1.

June 1 is sneaking up.

And it usually goes without anything happening. Is their a more overhyped day in the NFL? A half dozen guys are released the entire month.

Yet every year the media treats it like some buffet of released players.

We have zero incentive to release anyone before camp. No reason to put all that dead money on 2004, if we were going to cut Moose, this was the year. We don’t need the room to sign rookies. No FA worth any kind of big contract. Even Weinke will make it to camp.

I don't see Moose getting cut right now.

We would save 2 million by cutting Moose now, and not pushing the extra 1.65 million onto 2004. That pretty much says that we are keeping him to me.

I would be surprised if we cut him.

Dude - Weinke's gone.

But I think they'll keep him in camp before they actually cut him. In other words, August, not June. Not like they have to pay him.

I'd be shocked if Moose was cut. :saywhat:

But if he was, it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see the Cards sign him for a ridiculous amount of money. Like $5M a season or something. (Yeah, I know, he's about making that now with us. Don't have a clue why they haven't restructured him again.)
