Wharton @ LT - Gross @ RT.

Hmmm....I'm still thinking this may be the way they slide Wahle over to LT. I can't believe they pay that kind of money for a guard. They try Wharton at LT during mini-camps and declare he's a better fit at LG, then shift Wahle out to LT. By the start of the season, we could see this:

Wahle - LT
Wharton - LG
Mitchell - C
(2nd rd pick) Elton Brown/Marcus Johnson/David Baas or Reyes - RG
Gross - RT

That would be one of the better lines in the league IMO...

I am not sure Wahle could handle left tackle. He is a good lineman and will help us a lot but that is asking a lot. I wish we would make a pitch for Shelton then we could have:

LT: Gross
LG: Wahle
C: Mitchell
RG: Wharton
RT: Shelton

I can not see us moving Gross to RT given his price tag and where we drafted him. Of course he would be easier to re-sign if he is a RT when his rookie deal is up.

If that is the plan I can see why they were non committal on where Wahle will play. I am sure Gross will not be happy. Either way I hope we draft another guy for the OL who can start. I would rather see Reyes as a backup.

anybody care to post the article?

Why would they have to play cute little games? If thats wha they want to do just do it.

They have some big egos to manage and I bet little games get played all the time.

our right side was the sore spot last year. By switching Gross, a proven quantity, to that side we get stronger by alot. Does anyone think the left side is now weaker? I don't, but we still need 1 more lineman for starter/depth on the right side.
