Abraham to Atlanta?
<Mar. 15> The Falcons are working hard to assemble the appropriate pieces to a trade package intended to lure Abraham from the Jets, ESPN and ESPN.com have confirmed through league sources.

One significant road bump to a deal is the Falcons' refusal to include quarterback Matt Schaub, whom the Jets hold in high regard. It is believed the Jets are seeking Schaub and the Falcons' second-round draft pick for Abraham.

Abraham, hoping to bust out of New York, visited the Redskins Sunday night and was in Seattle on Tuesday, according to The Seattle Times. The Jets' franchise player is also drawing interest from Denver and Detroit.

Interesting that the Vicks do not want to let go of their backup. Why would you need a backup when you have superman at QB?

D-Line (Coleman and Bruckner- Lavalais, Shopshire and Babineaux to rotate)
Corners (Webster and Hall- Cash and Torrence in the rotation plus a guy that we draft in maybe the 3rd or 4th) Webster would not be such a liability with the rush we could put on.
Linebackers (Brookings, Hartwell, Williams- Boley, Beck, and Reese rotating)
Safeties (Milloy and Scott- Lowe, Newton and Draft either Jason Allen, Bing, Bullock or Williams)

I think this is a super-bowl defense! The pressure we would be able to put on teams up front would protect the secondary. With the addition of Bruckner, Milloy and Hartwell back the middle would not be as vulnerable to the run. I believe Bryan Scott will rebound. I think he was gun shy due to his injury. However, drafting one of the tough safeties in the draft will give insurance. Webster would not have to cover as long which would help him. I would draft a corner in the later rounds though plus the young guys when they played last year did a good job.

I really think we should draft O-line first in the draft. Our offense if set if we fix the O-line. Vick passing woes will take care of themselves if he has time to throw.
