Well Heels fans your misery is over

Played a smart game tonight but just not enough talent.

I hate to say this, but I hope you guys are better next year. There really wasn't anybody to argue with this year. It was kind of boring.

the why unc the game and not let duke got a big lead mit mean we there is hop for next year as of this game unc dont have any thing to be shy of we had are shot to win just dook was to good at the end but i steil thinks dook want win it all next year we are back and back on top

I kinda felt bad for UNC watching the game, and also hope they get better next year. I like Duke-Maryland games but they don't compare to a Duke-UNC game when both teams are competitive.

Slowing down the game kept it close for a while but late in the second half I have to say, " WHAT IN THE HELL WERE YOU DOING COACH "D"? I have to wonder if the Heels were just satisfied with preventing a blowout. You would have thought that at some point, late in the second half, Coach "D" would try to win the game. I just don't understand holding the ball when you're down by 10 points unless you are satisfied with just preventing a blowout.

Oh well, there's always next year.

When Duke only scores 60 losing by 12 points is still a blowout. D got what he wanted and I think showed he is still in control of this team. Having them slow the game down like they did is a complete departure from what they have done all year. Getting the team to buy off on that game the a chance, albeit a small one, and showed they still respect D.

I'm not glad it's over. I hope it continues for a few more years.

Not that the Heels had a real shot even with the slow down but I think they showed alot of teams how to beat dook.

There are only a few Maryland type teams out there with the firepower and athletes to run and gun with dook. But even a crappy team like the Heels can stay in shooting distance in a slow down game.
