It's my understanding that Weinke is due a $2 million roster bonus on March 1st.

This article discusses similar situations, but leaves out Weinke.

Am I wrong? Is he not due a bonus?

Those mentioned should be cut. Walls, L. Smith, and Kasay age dictate that they those bonuses should not be on the book this year.

He should be due a bonus. It's logical - the incentives were met, the last three years were high salary, and there was a bonus. It's gotta be in here either on the 15th or in June.

you don't send a player to NFLE if he's going to get cut by us while he's out there. At least there's no reason to. As for last year, maybe, but he was at the time a starting NFL QB who had to stay and learn the system.

Oh well. I expected it. I knew if he got playing time early, he'd have to be really decent to be able to stay with those incentives. I never liked that contract.
