Carolina: Damn it they are getting frustrating to watch! I mean, no fucking pressure, poor tackling, too much cushion (Gamble especially). Foster getting the same amount of yards in half the carries Davis is getting.
It didn't seem like anyone wanted to cover Bolden except maybe Manning who did play better today or seemed to anyway...at least he was up in Boldens face on the snap.

Arizona: QB controversy in the making...they are on the verge of not sucking.

Atlanta: Matt Schaub = Trade Bait! I don't see him sitting behind Vick long without wanting out. Wonder where he'd like to go??? :imagestor

Jags: They aren't pretty, but they get er done. Fred Taylor is NOT done!

Lions: They have thier one game out of every six where everything clicks for them...they have a few weeks of thumpings coming before they manage to real it back in again.

Dallas: What the...how the...HUH!

San Fran: Just bad, real bad.

Houston: Worse than San Fran...MUCH WORSE! I thought they were gonna be good this year, but damn. Capers will get the hook.

Cincy: I thought they were gonna be good this year...and they fucking are! Too bad they had to lose to the Jags, Lewis deserves to be the last undefeated coach. That organization has really turned around.

QUESTION: I am going to be in Kentucky next weekend, both Lexington and Lousville. What's the Panthers following like down there? Just wondering if I am going to have trouble finding someplace to watch the game???

observations:
jake doesn't know what looking off a safety means. he did it a couple times in the SB run, but i don't think i've seen him do it again. its a problem thats got a serious ceiling on him.

stephen davis should be short yardage and 4th quarter back imho

smitty fucking rocks

i'm getting a ken lucas jersey

why play a hurt gamble against a top notch receiver?

i'm liking the use of deshaun on the dump underneath.

t davis making impact

julius made some great plays.

blitzing isn't the answer.

we're not peaking too early LOL.

No doubt that. By the time the second half of the season rolls around, there will hardly be any film worth watching about this team. Due to ineffectivness, they have to change every week.

Perhaps a method to the madness

may I suggest an atlas :imagestor
there is no Panther following in Kentucky but a sports bar would have every game on

Sometimes I'm a little thankful I can't see very much Panther coverage out here.

Arizona: QB controversy in the making...they are on the verge of not sucking.
Agreed. Warner was a band-aid, but McCown is starting to develop into a decent QB. They still need some work on the OL to really make it go, though.

Atlanta: Matt Schaub = Trade Bait! I don't see him sitting behind Vick long without wanting out. Wonder where he'd like to go??? :imagestor
Hard to say. He might stay, as much as Vick gets hurt, and considering how long it takes him to heal. Right now, Vick's not looking like a guy who's going to last very long.

Jags: They aren't pretty, but they get er done. Fred Taylor is NOT done!
Taylor has always looked great in short streaks (between injuries). That's the frustrating thing about him. And yeah -- the Jags are winning ugly, but they're gettin' 'r done. The thing I noticed last night, though, is that they could be more dominant than they are. They shot themselves in the foot a LOT last night. And they're misusing Matt Jones, too. When Leftwich starts seeing him, they'll start racking up points like crazy.

Lions: They have thier one game out of every six where everything clicks for them...they have a few weeks of thumpings coming before they manage to real it back in again.
They're not really Wayne Fontes' Lions, but yeah -- they're still really inconsistent. If they ever manage to get a better than average game manager behind center, they'll make some noise.

Dallas: What the...how the...HUH!
My reaction, almost verbatim.

San Fran: Just bad, real bad.
Yep. The moves Nolan is making right now suggest he's not even trying to win anymore. This has become an extended evaluation process for next year. Rattay has proven he can play decently for 3 quarters, but not 4. Smith has shown he can't even play for one yet. Gore is showing he should have Barlow's job next year. Battle has shown he should be a starter when he's healthy. Lloyd is showing he is a solid #2. Morton is showing he's a decent slot guy. The defense is freaking coming to play, and it's fun to watch. Yeah, they're not great -- but with only one man playing worth his salary (Parrish), it's hard to win 8 on 11. They need two corners and a free safety. Bad.

Houston: Worse than San Fran...MUCH WORSE! I thought they were gonna be good this year, but damn. Capers will get the hook.
If that long. Dom's not the only guilty party, but he'll definitely take the fall for it.

Cincy: I thought they were gonna be good this year...and they fucking are! Too bad they had to lose to the Jags, Lewis deserves to be the last undefeated coach. That organization has really turned around.
Agreed about Lewis. What he's done there is phenomenal. Nice to finally see a top 5 overall pick (they've had a thousand of them) pan out.

The Bengals didn't play a decent team until Jacksonville. I wouldn't be surprised if they still managed to miss the playoffs at 8-8, although they'll probably slip in at 9-7 or maybe even 10-6.

Why play Gamble? Because look at whats behind him. We were better off without him in hindsight, but if Im FOx, and Gamble asks me to play him hurt, and I look and see Manning Jr., considering some of his play this year, Im letting Gamble play. I dont mind the PIs by Gamble, AT ALL. Aggressive corners will get that, and its a part of the game. Totally acceptable, and thats him learning the game, and learning how to play the ball and play tight. Itll happen. I dont want him to get scared though and not play the ball like hes been doing.

BLitzing isnt the answer? Sigh. Why not? It worked well on a number of occasions, a number of them. We dont have to blitz every down, but I would like to do it a lot. We forced short passes an awful lot with those, and weda been good, but we missed tackles. Blitz or no blitz, we have to tackle.

On the one TD we were burned on the blitz, Wesley bit on a dbl move, and was obviously playing man. Had Wesley not bitten, the play wouldve gone nowhere. Mighta been picked, because it was anyone's ball untile Wesley was shaken from his shoes.

Peppers made some great plays, but needs to relax and rush the passer more than hes doing. Hes out best pass rusher, but not playing like it.

One other thing, the announcers kept talking about Carolina not being a team built to play from behind...

#1 - Is there a team that is actually built for this purpose?

#2 - The way they have been playing they better start building toward being built that way!

if you just didn't say the exact same thing in every post i might enjoy you more. no matter how many times you say something, its not going to make you right (and even if you are right - you said it 100 times already). fucking hell, find a new angle already.

I disagree I think they are for real and that they go atleast 10-6. They may not unseat the Steelers but they should be a wildcard. Carson Palmer is for real and Chad Johnson definately is.
