Colts, at home, have the speed at linebacker and have smashed their soft label. And the 32nd ranked defense will be overmatched vs an offense that has put up 63 points against two good defenses the last two weeks.

TENNESSEE vs. Buffalo

Titans

I would not want to be Drew Bledsoe this week. Titans will want some blood.

Dallas vs. WASHINGTON

Boys

The rough part of the season is over for the Boys. To recapture their winning ways, they can start by putting pressure on Timmah and shutting down that O.

KANSAS CITY vs. Detroit

Chiefs

This is a week for struggling teams to get better.

TAMPA BAY vs. Houston

Bucs

The Buc defense is starting to play hard again, giving up only 10 points a game over the last 3. Too little, too late.

NEW ENGLAND vs. Jacksonville

Pats

Arguabley a meeting of the two best AFC defenses. New Engand is a more complete team and will force Lefty into a late mistake, but I anticipate a very close game.

Minnesota vs. CHICAGO

Vikings

Grossman won't win his first start. I forsee a multi pick game.

N.Y. JETS vs. Pittsburgh

Buffalo hasn't been dynamic since week 2, because teams have been able to rush Bledsoe up the middle, something the Titans do well.

When Buffalo has had some success, it has been against teams like the Jets that have trouble stopping the run. Titans are pretty good vs the run.

An MRI on McNair's sprained left ankle has revealed a cracked bone spur that likely is the cause of most of his pain. The quarterback, who was injured in Sunday's loss to the Indianapolis Colts, currently has his foot in a walking boot and will not practice this week, according to Titans coach Jeff Fisher. However, the team has not ruled out McNair for this weekend's game against the Buffalo Bills.

I see this week being a week where, since a shot has been fired across the league, and the blood's Reeves', that a lot of borderline coaches are going to have to prove themselves. Might not mean that anyone will get fired, but there will be some desperation moves that will mean fight or flight.

Colts - no question. While the COlts haven't been playing great ball, they're just a lot more talented, and come to play more often than we do. The end result is that, unless Reeves was really calling the worst possible

Dallas vs. WASHINGTON

Boys - The only thing that can ease the sting of losing to Dallas is losing The Ol' Ball Coach and attempting a start of respectability. But that aura loses its depth and brightness quickly once you realize that you can't fire an owner.

KANSAS CITY vs. Detroit

Chiefs. Detroit fights early but gets taken out of its gameplan.

TAMPA BAY vs. Houston

Bucs. Houston still makes the simple, conservative mistakes we make, and while you can ball control against Tampa, they don't have the power.


NEW ENGLAND vs. Jacksonville

Pats, low scoring game that'll be decided by Jacksonville's inconsistency. Expect high turnovers.

If it weren't Grossman, I wouldn't have a pick. With a respectable team, one could somewhat consider the idea that a team can win with an unknown because no one's prepared for him. But suddenly, they know Grossman's going to be out there, and of course you have to add that the Bears' O wasn't worth a shit since Crowton left, and then only due to excellent running and passing gimmickry. Fitting, Grossman's desperation starts when Spurrier's is about to close, and they coincide with Jauron's swansong. Note: time to find realtors in Chicago.

N.Y. JETS vs. Pittsburgh
