We signed brayton

More and more likely we go OT in the first. I don't think Brayton is the answer, either, hopefully we got him at a decent price- none of this 2 years 4mil on a 5th corner crap.

hmm. probably would have preferred Rucker back, but i guess he has some upside. Maybe he pulls a Vanden Bosch after he left AZ.

Addition by subtraction?

A rotation of Brayton and McClover could be decent at RDE. Brayton on running downs and McClover the pass rusher.

Anyone who beat the shit out of Randy Moss is OK in my book.

Nice pick up!
He's certainly not the answer at DE but the guy can play and has experience. Keep in mind Oakland plays a 3-4D and he was used as an outside rush linebacker! not his natural DE position.

And It looks like we beat out some competition for him too! The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, and Cincinnati Bengals were also interested!

I hope Rucker comes back myself. Even an aging and slower Rucker is better than Brayton...

I'm thinking he's here only for competition. I think They're going with the approach to let McClover or Johnson have a shot at winning a job. Had they spent a ton of money on a DE we'd look at them like failed draft picks, and that's not really fair without them getting a shot. Would you be pissed more if we let another Jovan Haye walk or this current scenario?

I'm fine with letting people compete for a job the problem is we still don't have that good rush guy- Brayton hasn't been lighting it up, McClover may be it but we're not sure, Johnson has to grow up in a hurry.
