I mean, Patty is gonna be 38 at the start of next season, and sure he'll have a little more time off this summer than he usually does, but 38!!!

If he has kids, he probably wants them to be able to speak Swedish. Lindstrom said the same thing a few years back, but in the end, the $ were to enticing.

If Foppa retires from the NHL, it'll be to go back to Sweden and finish his career for MoDo (the club he played for in the SEL) and try to help them win the SEL championship--the one thing he hasn't yet been able to do.

dead on correct. Forsberg's father has been talking to the press in Sweden and saying that Peter would like to come back and play. Marcus Nasland said earlier this year that he's considering going back to Sweden after this season as well. a part of me thinks it's a contract negotiation thing, since Linstrom did it a few years ago.

vp, Peter doesn't have any kids, yet, but he's got a pretty steady girlfriend, so who knows??

after the labor contract is up after next year, there will probably be a lock out...a lot of those european players may go back to europe, permenantly.

you're probably right. I can't remember where I read about it, but since he's only 30 this year it most likely is next year that his contract will be up.
