another horrid first half for Carolina which saw them allow 44 points to a miserable Wake Forest team. not that Wake cant score but UNC has given up big first half numbers lately, 55 to GT on Wednesday and 44 to the Deacs this afternoon. but credit the Heels for playing well enough to win it in the second half, again. i think the Deacs went something like 10 minutes without a field goal in the second half. while watching the game i couldnt help but wonder what the future holds for Wake Forest. Skip Prosser has been rumored to be headed for the vacancy at Cinci and this season has been a nightmare for the Deacons who have been at or near the top of the ACC for quite some time until now. i sense that the players know he's leaving. he sure hasnt shot down any speculation when questioned about it. wonder who they'll seek if and when he does leave?

If he only can win one ACC game, he'll get ramrodded in the nation's best conference, the Big East.

I really don't see how Wake can be so bad. They have probably a first team All-ACC player in Justin Gray and 2nd or 3rd team All ACC in Eric Williams. That in itself should win you a couple of games. They have a top 20 recruiting class from what I hear though. Jamie Skeen's stock has gone down since he got hurt and I don't know if he is back playing for North Meck but he was a top 40 recruit before he got hurt so that might have dropped their 2006 class down some.
