Former NFL Player Joins Jay Robinson Racing:

Emmanuel McDaniel, who spent his 1996 Rookie season on the Carolina Panthers roster, has joined Jay Robinson Racing of the Nascar Busch Series. McDaniel was a Cornerback who also had stints with the Colts, Cardinals, Giants and Dolphins in his nine year NFL career. He retired from football after spending the 2003 and 2004 season with the Cardinals. McDaniel will serve as a tire carrier on the #49 Advil/Xtreme pit crew and have duties in the shop.

NASCAR is trying to get more minorities into racing---crew members, drivers, owners, etc. Not to pull race into it, but this thought doesn't sit well with the hardcore rednecks. A lot of rednecks feel that this is the only sport left for the whites and don't want the blacks to invade their "sport".

**Please don't start in on the race issue. I didn't say this to inflame ANYONE.**

I also forgot to say good for EM. I'm glad he's branching out into something different than football.

NASCAR ditched the rednecks about 5 years ago :twocents:

Can't wait for the movie "Emmanuel 4,346: Emmanuel in the Pits". Always some good girl-on-girl action!

:umno: Not around here. In Calif. maybe and all the other non-southern tracks, but not around here. They are still in full force.
He said Nascar ditched the rednecks, not the rednecks ditched nascar.
