I hope this tidbit of info will help our front office hurry and get Jeno signed as soon as possible. If we do win I would guess that Donnalley definitely quits while he's on top. If so doesn’t that make OL a higher priority in the draft? Brez hasn’t shown that he can handle it and our only other option would be Nelson. What sort of free agents will be out there to fill that RG position and start immediately?

If Donnalley isn't returning, then I'd figure they keep Brzezinski and have him fight Nelson.

That sucks.

But just plugging in a rookie every time someone leaves, creeps me out a bit too.

Honestly I'm unsure of what Brzezinski can do. He really didn't look bad in preseason, save for a big mistake that I credited to Bates. My biggest problem was that he couldn't beat Jeno, which in retrospect would be hard the way he's playing.

Since there isn't a OG worthy of a first round pick and we need a CB worse than ahything else, I'd say go FA and a later pick.
Brez isn't going to last, I thought he was supposed to be a starter...but he could beat out a gummer and a kid for a spot. Plus, Nelson has gotten the PT when someone needed a breather.
Willig can play inside or out and is what I would call a servicable back-up if needed.

willig got mauled in the philly game - check out foster's TD. brez and willig would both be huge dropoffs from kevin who is still a helluva player and i hope he will be back and give Nelson another year to develop ... if Bruce is the plan. hope they can lock up James for a long time. willig plays over brez in the 'ship? don't think that speaks well of brez.

Well, Willig is bigger, and a Tackle. You'd expect him to be a little more versatile than a backup guard.
