Mags wasn't Jason Peters one of your guys in the draft? He's available for purchase now. Think the Panthers look or are they set?

I find it funny that Denver lost Mike Anderson for the season, because they had him on punt return with 4 mins left to go in a preseason game. This was after he was having a pretty good preseason, and may have been the starter opening day if it weren't for this.

Billy Gramatica cut from the Giants.

Anyone see anything else notable that I'm overlooking?

I hate the Donkos, but in their defense he was in only because of injuries to other guys. So, its not like they were trying to run up the score by playing their starters or anything.

Also, he wasnt going to start at RB, but was certainly a valuable backup.

>>>Bills | Peters Candidate for Practice Squad - from www.KFFL.com
Wed, 1 Sep 2004 10:21:58 -0700

Mark Gaughan, of the Buffalo News, reports free agent TE Jason Peters (Bills) is a candidate for the Buffalo Bills' practice squad.<<<

I’m one of the guys who liked Peters and thought he would go in the 3rd or 4th. Never got a clear opinion on why he went undrafted. The Bills like him but he is apparently a very raw project and nowhere near ready for game time. If no one else grabs him we should think about it. Wouldn't we then be able to put him on our practice squad? The guy ran a 4.8something 40 and according to predraft reviews he is extremely athletic for a 330 pound guy. Use him as a TE and lineman on PS then maybe do the NFL Europe thing with him as a lineman and work him on OL next offseason.
I guess our guys aren’t that hot on him though since they drafted Wharton (future RT) and Gaines (future blocking TE) when they just as easily could have gone for the big upside and raw athleticism in Peters.

Maybe his name (for a number of reasons) just leaves a bad taste in their mouths.)

That is just wrong.....

I think he might make a good project for a RT. Of course I would like to have Brock Lesnar here too :)
