    ESPNews reports the Cleveland Browns have traded RB Lee Suggs to the New York Jets in exchange for CB Derrick Strait.

    Interesting, Suggs might do well if he gets the starting job. Curtis Martin looks like he is about done.

    I can't figure out why Mangini has been trying to shove Martin out the door. I think he still has something left, and would post pretty respectable numbers behind that new offensive line. I've heard about his supposed bone on bone knee, but I doubt it's deteriorated that much since leading the league in rushing year before last.

    Word is he went to the Jets before the draft and told them to draft a RB. I don't think they're trying to push him out, he may just be unable to contribute.

    you must have missed the reports (about a week ago?) that stated Martin as having very little cartilage left and it was basically a "bone on bone" situation

    I'm guessing that no, I didn't miss those reports:
    And Mangini is definitely pushing him out. They wouldn't let him practice with the team (a la McNair), and word is that the Jets people were basically doing everything they could to convince him to retire.
