I had forgotten about the bets between the St. Louis mayor and the Charlotte mayor. Their food choices sounded kind of lame, but I guess that they represented the cities.

"And, to top everything off, Charlotte Mayor Patrick McCrory can celebrate the win over the rams with some St. Louis home-cooking. St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay wagered a banquet off St. Louis treats against some Charlotte home-cooking.

Mayor McCrory won Anheuser-Busch beer, toasted ravioli from the Pasta House Company, Ted Drewes Frozen Custard, Volpi Foods salami, Swiss-American Cheese, even a five-and-a-half milk chocolate football from Bissinger's along with St. Louis-made TUMS antacids."

McCrory wagered his state's famous barbecue, along with hushpuppies, Lance crackers, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, Carolina Blonde Beer and Goody's Headache Powder.

Ted Drewe's is a St. Louis tradition: like a DQ blizzard on steroids. There's nothing like hanging out on a warm St. Louis night after a Cards win, leaning on the car and having a Ted Drewe's "concrete".

And the Pasta House is good. (Hey, I used to bus tables there!)

[FYI, St. Louis is my home town. But when it comes to football, I'm a Panther fan since 1995.]

no liver mush or fish camp food, damn commie

Those bets are pretty lame. It would be half interesting if they made some better bets, like with stuff they actually have to pay for themselves. I heard McCory talking about a whole pound of bbq. Man thats ballsy.
