I couldn't wait. The suspense is killin’ brah! Here’s the order from all I can gather (until Brain adds the real deal) –
1. Gamble
2. Hall
3. Strait
4. Poole
5. Robinson
Corner has become the IT position and those 5 top tier CBs that we would all love here are probably going to gone before we get a sniff of them. There seem to be a good dozen corners that all fit somewhere in the top 70ish players.
In that break between 1st and 2nd round there are Carroll and Vasher and one if not both should be there at #31. Carroll has been on the rise and Vasher has slipped a bit.
As a CB Ware seems to grade somewhere between the two above and some of the group below. Like Vasher he is versatile and has played both FS and CB. Ware seems to be more natural as a FS and Vasher more suited to CB.
Add LeSueur, Colclough, Keith Smith, and Ratliff to a grouping that all grade about the same and one should definitely fall to our 2nd round pick.
From all I can tell any of these should "eventually" be an upgrade over Howard as a future starter but who knows which of the above would be ready to be an effective starter THIS YEAR if that is the direction our staff plans on going.
