that TE stat on MNF was sad

Old Madden was talking about how the new contact rules have helped the TE more than anyone else. Guess it makes sense. Just too bad we do not have anyone in the position to take advantage of it. A guy at work was crowing that the team should have kept Wiggins, but I do not think Henning would have used him to take advantage of anything had we kept him...

TE is one of our weakest positions imo. Nice to have a blocker there I guess but what QB doesn't love to have a reliable TE to dump the ball off to when he's in trouble?

One in each conference with over 50, and I beleive they both lead the league.

Heck, Wiggins even took LESS money to go play for the Vikings. It's sad when they don't even want to play here.

Wiggins joined the Vikings as a free agent during the offseason.

"I took less money than Carolina was offering because this is the perfect fit," Wiggins said. "I have an opportunity to catch balls and prove to everybody what the Vikings knew I could do but no one else really wanted to give me the chance to do."

The Henning Dogma at work.....

Please old man, retire.....

i can remember him being given chances and dropping balls in the endzone. i can remember Jake looking elsewhere for his lack of trust in the guy.

you're always going to have sour apples. i'd just soon they walk. i'd rather have a team player anyday than one of these selfish asses that put themselves above a team.

maybe with the new rules the TE position is the end all of end alls. i'd love to have good one, certainly. and i certainly think Jake and Henning would use him if they had such a creature ... if fact, they'd probably over do it. the oilers once traded their future to get Dave Casper. we were all giddy as it seemed to be a move that would finally put them over the top. he was good and he helped but didn't get them to the promised land as their were also other problems. just like our CB situation i think in time we will see them get us a TE. if the new rules favor the TEs so much, i'd guess sooner than later.

by the way, what is up with Gaines? benched, injured or playing and i'm not noticing him?
