Tennis Elbow

Anyone ever have it? I went to the doctor and he manipulated my arm telling me to lift it and such and told me I have tennis elbow. He told me to continue to wear one of those forearm brace things (that didn't do shit for me so far, and gave me a wrist brace (like for carpal syndrome) to wear for a while. How long would you guess I'll have to wear this damn thing w/o my elbow hurting
