Young doesn't seem to have the character issues, no. And so far, he's exceeded expectations for me, but when you're just out there playing and not really executing the offense you can look good as a young running QB. But he's a winner, and has enough arm.

Vince Young is similar to Steve McNair from early in his career. Fisher had a lot of success with that type of QB. If they can build that defense then they will be pretty good but I still think it is pretty hard to win it all with a running QB. Eventually you play a defense in the playoffs good enough to shut that down and when you make a guy like that throw to beat you he usually can not do it.
They are looking pretty good now though. Travis Henry has had a nice resurgence. I wanted us to try and get him here at one time and it still does not look like that would have been a mistake.

but i believe when vince plays a defense that shuts that down.. he also has the arm to beat teams.. unlike vick he is far more accurate with his passing than vick is.. vince young looks to throw and then when he doesnt have any more time or theres nothing there.. then he turns to his legs to make a play of throw the ball away.. vick had a problem with wanting to run outa there before he should have thats what got him in trouble... id take young any day

i believe they've got vince listed at 226#, how is that possible? he looks at least 245 to me. i watched most of that game - flipping it w/ the atlanta game. then i watched the giants game. it was a day of good football.
