Superdome coming down

CNN just reported that the New Orleans Superdome was going to have to be demolished because of severe damage. Sad in a way.

yeah. Sad that they are talking about it like it really matters. Tons of homes and business are going to need the same thing. I'm sure they'll want the government to pay up for a nice new one like houston has...

it needs to come down. That, and the convention center. No one's going to be looking to hold conventions and meetings in a space that held refugees that were beaten, raped, and soiled, and no one's going to want to spend millions upon millions to repair a stadium that was outdated, ugly, and relatively unwanted before the hurricane, much less the draw of trying to market a stadium that went through the same horrors.

Maybe it ends up benefitting their bid to keep the Saints. I dunno how the fuck they'll get money to build something, but between the Saints and the Super Bowls, they'll find a way.

Hope it's not a dome.

NO is already subsidizing the Saints by paying them miilions each year to be in NO. Don't know how the city can/will justify paying that much $$$ for a sports stadium while the city is in ruins. Unfortunately, I think the Saints are moving and not coming back.
