It is my impression that more and more classic rock groups are having to join up to tour. Well, I know it's been going on a while, but does anyone know of anyone touring this summer that has an opening act that isn't as washed up as they are?

Aerosmith - not that they're washed up - as a matter of fact they stay hot - usually carries good fresh young acts, even though I don't like Kid Rock. Usually DMB's always popular summer tours have great opening acts.

I dunno who the big money groups are getting to open, like the Eagles. Don't follow them that much

Aerosmith is touring with Kiss this year (they'll be in Charlotte Sept. 19, I believe). I assume they will be alternating which one opens like what DLR and Sammy Hagar did last summer. And I would say that neither are washed up...although Kiss supposedly had their "final" farewell tour a couple of years ago.

Sorry about the 'washed up' thing. I was curious I guess about bands like the Eagles and Aerosmith - bands that don't need to pair up with other acts to draw a crowd.
