Panthers' receiver Steve Smith injured

Panthers All-Pro receiver Steve Smith was carted off the practice field Saturday with what appeared to be a hamstring injury. He went went down late in the second of the team's two practices. He quickly was put on a cart and taken inside for examination.

The extent of the injury is not yet known. Keep checking charlotte.com for updates.

They will know more on Sunday, severity undisclosed. Looks like a day-to-day situation. Definitely not cramps (wasn't that hot in SpartanVegas today).

I, too, hate the nerves of training camp.

Smitty will be fine....it's not like he needs to learn the offense....he IS the offense.
