If this were the case then why didn't Foster himself gain more yards in the second half rather than having to switch to DeAngelo? I remember most games when Foster was reduced to 1 yard gains or less by the second half. If the defense were worn down he'd at least produce more short yardage gains.

Take it for what its worth. I Think a lot of people on here under valued Deshaun this season. Until the NO game he was having a solid year. The only real problem I have him this year was his fumbling. He ran hard, and was effective.
Many folks have talked about Julius Jones replacing him but I don't necessarily think of that as a big upgrade. I haven't looked at the breakdown of runs, but Deshaun seemed to have been asked to run up the middle far more that DeAngelo and probably faced more 8 and 9 man fronts. If an obvious upgrade presents itself I'm all for it, but I don't think Deshaun should be thrown under the bus as the reason we couldn't run.

I think DeShaun would be fine if he stopped fumbling the damn ball. Going into this year, I was really hoping that he would have made a commitment to not fumbling as much, but it got worse and he still holds the ball wo/ all points of pressure in traffic. I think it's time to find someone else.

We don't "wear" anybody down (besides Atlanta) with the running game. If anything, we wear Foster down by running him into a pile of dogshit that we call an offensive line. DeAngelo doesn't necessarly get better blocking, but his cutting ability allows us to do more zone when he's in.

I think it's time for Deangelo to get the starting roll and Deshawn to be the blow guy. I have nothing against Deshawn, I just think we need to try something slightly differant and I think Deangelo is our best home run threat.

Why in the hell does media types call Foster the 'much bigger powerback' when, although he's 3 inches taller, he's only 5 lbs heavier than Williams.

To me, Foster may actually be faster on straight line speed with distance than Wiiliams, but Williams hits full speed much faster and within two steps. When he sees a hole, he's thru it quickly.

Foster looks for the cutback every dang play nearbout', and dances too much.

Both are decent backs, but neither is worth Foster's money next year.

Foster does block ok, and catches well and gains yardage once he's in the open. He fights too much when he shouldn't and fumbles because of poor ball holding technique. Maybe he's harder to bring down, though not much. He damn sure ain't that much more of a 'power back' than Williams is, imo.

Williams needs to get better at blockin, sure. I do think he has much better vision and burst than Foster does. That's obvious.
