Remember when Bruton Smith wanted to put in the drag strip and Concord told him that he couldn't, after they had said they would? So he told them that the Charlotte Motor Speedway would relocate to Rowan County, and suddenly they not only found permission for him to build, they somehow uncovered more tax breaks and named a road after him.

Charlotte may want to fuck with Tepper over a new stadium, but if they just look up the road about 20 miles northeast, they should realize that there's only so far they can push before Mr. Billionaire pushes back. I'm sure that land for a stadium could be found all over the place, and would actually love for him to build one on the old Philip Morris site.

Stadium renovations is a band-aid and a waste of tax payer funds. Tepper is looking for an excuse to move the team regardless. He wants a new stadium, he doesn't care where it is. His argument is Charlotte can pay the difference in the revenue he's losing by not being in another city hosting a Super Bowl with a free stadium. He will win, and he will move the team. 2 states, 1 team... where's SC's money? That bridge is burned. The burden shouldn't be all on Charlotte. It's the Carolina Panthers, not the Charlotte Panthers... some money should come from the states, not just the city. It will never happen. Enjoy your NFL franchise while you can.

I remember I was doing just fine. Semi rooting for the Redskins mainly because that was considered the local team by the Networks.
