Sponsors leaving Cup cars and other rumors

Also rumors of Ward Burton going to the RCR #30 (things are not good with ward and was pretty obvious in his interview yesterday). Tony Stewart leaving Gibbs to Ganassi (Tony drove an Indy car for Ganassi) Jeremy Mayfield to the #1 DEI car. He is also rumored to be signing a contract extension with Evernham this week so who knows.

I guess thats why they call it Silly Season.
I seen somthing about Coca Cola possibly dropping the Coke family promotion and sponsoring 1 team. That would big and i think DEI would have an inside track on that.

I wouldn't look for Stewart to be on the move just yet...Gibbs still loves the guy, and Stewart would look like an idiot if he left Gibbs on bad terms, considering Gibbs stuck by him with all his anger "issues."

I dont think it's a matter of Gibbs and Stewart getting along. Stewart and Ganassi are supposedly really good friends.

Yep, I bet Coke would love to get on the NO.1 car. Wouldnt be surprised to see Pepsi get on the 25 car since they already have a relationship with Gordon and Hendrick. Only thing that might hold that back is Pepsi wanting Gordon to drive which will probably never happen. Dupont is about the biggest guarranted sponsor in Nascar.
