This team is in a position to consistently suck year in and year out if they do not find a way to shore up the tackle and guard positions on the o-line with quality or at least above average talent. This was an issue even BEFORE Gross and Wharton retired.. Then they wonder why the run game stinks. Expecting to have success with free lancing protection with scrubs and undrafted inexperienced free agents for the most valuable player on the team will ultimately back fire big time and cost Cam Newton his career much too early. If it temporarily puts your team back in the hole financially one more year, then SO BE IT, but go get your franchise cornerstone some competent protection or the entire house of cards could fall. It's not worth flushing your franchise QB's career down the drain due to injury and setting your team back potentially another 5 years...
