The Southern Conference has got to change it's formula for tiebreakers. The recent log jam atop the Southern Conference standings has brought attention to the tiebreaker formulas. If there is a tie at season's end the final tiebreaker is points scored. This should not be a factor in neither college or high school football. If the players are not being paid millions of dollars, they should not be subjected to fourth quarter beatings due to the other team's positioning for a tiebreaker. ASU coach Jerry Moore has taken a knee late in games a couple times already this year. At the moment Elon holds a point tiebreaker over the other teams in the tie. It is not Coach Moore's style to run the score up on team's late in a game. Earlier today on WXIT's Sportspage in Boone, guest Mark "Pac-Man" Packer said " points should never be a factor in the tiebreaker system". I would like to hear others feelings on this subject.
