Danny O'Neil, of The Seattle Times, reports the Seattle Seahawks are close to releasing RB Shaun Alexander, according to a source close to the situation. The announcement could come as early as Tuesday, April 22.

I can't see him regaining much in his 30's. He'll probably spend a year or two as a back-up and then retire, like Stephen Davis.
