Panthers arrived today, and were greeted by about 50 fans at the hotel. Met a couple of folks from Shelby and Albemarle--all made the drive up, bought tix on ebay, and were stoked. Panthers got off the buses with smiles, and a very calm look about them. It is kinda weird seeing that. These guys have the look of a team that KNOWS they are going to win, not just liking their chances. I guess it's called "quiet confidence" and I am all for it.

The city is still amazing. Been hanging around in the area surrounding the hotel, and not really venturing too far from it. Caught up with some of the TV folks from Charlotte and enjoyed some beverages, but still, being amongst the great people of this place has been very sweet for me...gameday will no doubt be the cherry on the sundae.

Were the Panthers wearing suits/sportcoats? I saw some video today and Fox, some player ( I can't remember right now ) wearing them. I don't ever remember seeing Jake in anything nice, just wondering. Dress code or something?

I hope like hell the Bears lose, but I have never had a bad time in Chicago.

some guys in suits, some in sports coats and polos, Buckner in a fur coat (it was damn cool)...no one was dressing like a thug. Lucas had on some sort of rock star sunglasses (kinda big for his face), but they were pimpin... overall, there is a dress code I am sure, maybe business casual, but there were a few guys in jeans. nothing that would embarass them or the franchise.

Note to John Fox, gimme a bus loaded with Panthers in jeans & sweaters or nice shirts...........................sigh. Suits look nice, but gimme a guy in some rugged jeans anyday!
